one time i said to enaek, i actually sort of love viva la vida as a song, like the melody is actually great, but i can’t really enjoy it because it is so bogged down in the unbearable shittiness of coldplay, it would be so awesome if someone i love did a cover of this, like you know who would be amazing? regina spektor, doing a just-her-and-the-piano soaring-semi-warbling cover, that would fucking rule.viva la vida (coldplay cover) - lady gaga
this is not quite that. but it’s closer than i ever thought i would get in actual reality. and pretty damn good. lady gaga and viva la vida: two okay tastes that taste awesome together!
