allimmaturityandallcaps asked: Any favorite things you hold onto from sentiment? (I have a perfectly ordinary and valueless marble I keep in a pouch in my purse that a friend gave me, for example.)

a necklace with my name on a grain of rice inside a glass turtle that my soulmate since we were eight gave me in sixth grade. she gave it to my mother actually to give to me, because this was while we thought we would have to move to puerto rico permanently, which was the occasion for the gift; she remembered that in fourth grade i had admired a classmate’s name-on-a-grain-of-rice necklace and wanted one of my own but never got around to getting it.

a wooden rocking horse with MAYAGUEZ painted on the bottom that was given to me by jeez i don’t even remember who when i was, well, when i lived in puerto rico so when i was younger than three.

a lucky cat my brother bought me in japan.

a ceramic, hmm, vase-like object that was part of an ex’s high school senior project in art.

oh gosh probably more, i am sentimental, but those are the ones that came to mind right away.
